John Grandy
Director
John Grandy is a Director at The Wayfinder Group, bringing more than a decade of experience across federal government, national campaigns, and public affairs.
Before joining Wayfinder, John served as a Senior Communications Advisor at the U.S. Department of the Interior, where he advised and staffed the Secretary on infrastructure, clean energy, and Tribal affairs. During President Biden’s 2020 campaign, John served as South Carolina Press Secretary during the pivotal Democratic primary before becoming Deputy Communications Director in Michigan for the general election. He also served as Deputy Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Brian Schatz of Hawaiʻi.
John previously founded Grandy Advisory, an independent public affairs and strategic communications consultancy.
At Wayfinder, John advises public- and private-sector clients, Tribal Nations, nonprofits, and political campaigns on high-stakes communications, crisis management, media strategy, and executive positioning.
John is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College.
